Action Plan 2011
Rule 2: The Objective of the Association
To act as a national resource and network for nurses to share knowledge, expertise and best practice about Parkinson´s disease and its management, locally, nationally and internationally.
Therefore the main aims for the PDNSA Committee for 2011 will be:
- To continue to represent and raise the profile of PDNS´s.
- To actively communicate between the PDNSA committee and membership
via:
- Transmitter/ e-transmitter (3 editions in 2011)
- Website
- PDNSA report to regional groups after each committee meeting
- Annual conference and AGM
- To promote best practice and partnership working by:
- Influencing national policy development in collaboration with other neurological nursing associations, exploring future direction for nurse specialists in neurological fields
- Linked to above look at the end of life pathway for Parkinsons Disease
- Promoting awareness of the PDNSA to raise the associations profile
- Review the definition of a PDNS
- Support and facilitation of innovative practice and developments
- Continued working with Parkinsons UK, Healthy Alliance and the pharmaceutical industry
- Jointly plan to deliver the Britmodis conference in 2012
- Complete the organisation for the 11th annual PDNSA conference 3rd/4th October 2011
