Rule 2: The Objective of the Association
To act as a national resource and network for nurses to share knowledge, expertise and best practice about Parkinson´s disease and its management, locally, nationally and internationally.
Therefore the main aims for the PDNSA Committee for 2008 will be:
- To continue to represent and raise the profile of PDNS´s
- To hold a successful conference
- To sustain good communication between the PDNSA committee and its members via
- Transmitter
- Website Updates
- PDNSA Report to Regional Groups after each committee Meeting
- To promote best practice and partnership working using the following:
- Planning "Towards Expert Practice" project for experienced PDNS´s (members) for 2009
- Influence national policy development and the political agenda
- Promote awareness of the PDNSA to raise the profile
- Support and facilitate innovative practice &nsp; developments
- Continued joint working with PDS, Pharmaceutical industry, Healthy Alliance and others
- Endorsing, developing and supporting appropriate projects
- Working closely with medical colleges within the British Geriatric Society Interest Group and the British Neurologist Movement Disorder Special Interest group
- Disseminating Competency Framework Document 2nd Edition
- Working towards the 20 year celebration of the Role of the PDNS for 2009
